Define Your Brand Identity – step 6: Social Media to promote your business

social media marketing

Instagram is great for business, but that doesn’t mean it’s the right channel for all the businesses. That’s why I recommend checking the tips below and assess what works best for you and your biz!

1 – Plan and analyse

set specific and measurable goals and objectives. research your competition, find inspiration and create a content calendar based on your strategy. If you already use social media, take a break and do an audit to see what is working and what is not. Make an action plan 🙌

2 – Where is your audience

it might be the case you are looking to approach corporate clients – I suggest you put your efforts on LinkedIn, or Instagram if your audience is mostly small business owners. Decide which platforms are right for you and put your efforts on those. Sometimes people are shooting in all directions, and that doesn’t really work, it’s more important to focus on 1 or 2 channels instead. Creating a persona really helps to find out where your dream client is!

3 – Build a community

sometimes it’s not all about sales it’s about building trust and engaging organically with like-minded individuals, share successes, frustrations and stories. For me that’s one of the great benefits of social media: I love the community of small business owners I have around me, I feel supported and love to support them as well.

4- Quality over quantity

I know this is a hot topic, but I believe that the quality of the posts is way more important than the quantity. If you can produce posts for every day of the month with great quality, visually and that are valuable to your audience – go ahead and post everyday. But if you have nothing to say, don’t post just for the sake of it.

5 – Don’t be a diva

yes, you read that right…If people comment, share your posts or message you, respond. I know it’s not possible to be on social media 24/7 but put some time aside to respond to comments and engage with your followers every day.

Now, I’m curious to know: which one of these you need to put in place for your business? Leave me a comment below 👇🏻
